Hi everyone, my name is Chayaporn Sangchote. You can call me Fon which is my nickname. I am from Thailand. I received a bachelor degree in Aerospace Engineering and currently working as an engineer at PTT Public Company Limited, Thailand's largest energy conglomerate. You may find it strange because my degree is not related to the field of energy but it actually has something related because I have been working on the cogeneration and renewable energy especially developing the wind farm projects.
I got a scholarship from my company to study master degree in the United States. That is the reason why I am here. I am going to study in the Energy & Resources major this Fall.
During my free time, I enjoy travelling to new places with my friends. I also love reading books and surfing the internet.
It is very nice to meet all of you. I am sure that we will get along well this summer!

Kate: Such an interesting profession you've chosen. Space always fascinated me. It's a bit scary when you think about it from the point of infinity (sorry, if I didn't get right the field you're working at). Where originally had you wanted to work when you decided to enter University?
